Gaia Yoga Mind - Body - Soul

I've been a student of yoga since 1999. By 2004 I took my love of yoga to the next level and began the IYTA Diploma in Yoga Teacher Training, graduating in 2005. I have continuously taught Yoga classes since mid 2004 with the majority of my classes being taught in the classical Hatha style including asana, pranayama, relaxation and meditation techniques.

I like to expose myself to many styles of yoga practice and bring those elements into my teachings. I am constantly attending workshops, conferences, courses and classes in various styles of yoga to further my knowledge. I have also been training since 2004 with GKR Karate and attained my 2nd Dan Black Belt in 2016. I have been a Sensei with GKR since 2013-2020 and was a Sempei (assistant instructor) many years before that, teaching 2 classes a week in Karate to adults and children.

In January 2019 I completed a 300hr Course in Yoga 5 elements and am registered with Yoga Alliance in the US as an RYT500, E-RYT200 and YACEP. I have a Level 3 Senior Teaching membership with Yoga Australia and have been President of IYTA as well as Vice President and Treasurer. I currently sit on the IYTA Committee of Management.

I teach in my own private studio (Gaia Yoga, Thornleigh) and also teach in Millennium Gym and local schools based around the Thornleigh, Normanhurst, Wahroonga, Hornsby, Waitara, Turramurra, Pennant Hills and Asquith suburbs. I love teaching and have students in their teens through to their 90s. I have students with disabilities and students who can do more with their bodies than even I can. If you attend my classes I will make sure that the practice is safe for you and enjoyable.

For many years I was a lecturer on the IYTA Teacher Training Diploma course heading up the Asana Team and lecturing on subjects such as body alignment, posture reviews, asanas, inversions, teaching skills and props/special needs.
